“Don’t go around saying the world owes you a livng, the world owes you nothing, it was here first.” -Mark Twain

Selfish, selfish, selfish! HELLO. You are one out of billions, and you are smaller than a speck compared to the universe. You, relatively speaking, don’t matter nearly as much as you think you do.

How, then, do people ever get under the impression that the world revovles around them? The world, believe it or not, would not be strongly affected in any way if you were to leave it. Wake up call? I hope so.

It’s funny to me how much people forget that where they live, what they go through, and how they feel, is not the way everyone else lives, what everyone else goes through, or what everyone else feels.

Lives cross for split seconds, and don’t affect us. Yet that moment passed. And in that moment you realize that your life isn’t the only life that matters.

Michaela Says,

People need to stop looking into the mirror. A double-sided view, and all you see is you. Instead, look into the world. See the billions of people, the webs of lives that cross and tangle, intersect, or run parallel to others every day. See the network that is so intricate, and so fatalistic, that there is nothing to do but sit back and watch it take its course.

Who are we to interfere? Who are we to feel so above the fate of the world that we matter so much more? Who are we to see only ourselves, when the picture is so much bigger than we could ever imagine?
